Dear Reader,

As the current refugee crisis shows us in Europe, the major challenges to shape a livable future rely not only on technical innovation to the solution of environmental problems. Social Entrepreneurs play an important role and in this area there are many exciting companies with great potential, as many examples among the numerous SEA submissions from the past show: Barrier-free designed communication for deaf people by SiMAX, Use Potential revolutionizes the way refugee camps work by asking all refugees about their skills and building up a database with those, the currently neglected potential can be used and supported.

1% of the human population has autistic disorder, similar amounts of people are mentally disabled. Over 90% of them are unemployed. Qidenus Publishing has developed a new digitization and index business model for historic hand text written person register from the 1600 - 1900 period. In the Scan and Index processing teams mentally handicapped and autistic people are employed. This inclusion business model has the chance to bring 1000s of mental handicapped and autistic people into a reputable workforce.

We are looking forward to welcome many social entrepreneurs to the SEA. Start your submission now.
